The A-6S is a combination of the most advanced features of the Invacare® A-4TM and the Invacare® TerminatorTM SS and many revolutionary new design features. The chair offers an everyday rigid suspension includes a seat angle adjustment mechanism, telescoping wheelbase, integrated head tubes, and an adjustable camber system.
The dual rear and front suspension is customized to the rider's weight, and the dual elastomer suspension is located on a rear axle mount to cushion the ride. A single elastomer is positioned horizontally in each front suspension fork to absorb the impact of uneven terrain, curbs and transfers. Additional elastomers are available and can be changed easily to increase or decrease the stiffness of the ride.
The chair's state-of-the-art camber bar technology allows the camber to be adjusted quickly and easily. The camber bar mounting clamp allows for adjusting the rear seat-to-floor height by 1" up or down. Each camber insert offers a choice of two cambers.
The telescoping center of gravity adjustment enables the chair's wheelbase to be easily lengthened to maximize stability or shortened to maximize performance. While the A-6S (adjustable model) offers a seat angle adjustment feature, the F-6S (fixed seat model), offers riders a permanently fixed seat angle, for the rider who knows exactly how they like to sit.
